PALACE OF DREAMS

  1. PALACE OF DREAMS - An acrylic painting on a 24 x 36 size stretched canvas. It was commissioned by Loci Lenar, and is one of the four Fabian paintings that he published as an art photo folio in 1990, "Stephen Fabian Fantasy Collection".

Mr. Lenar tried to get the artwork in this folio published in the "American Artist Magazine," as well as a few other art magazines. If he had done so it would have been great, it may have led to lots of sales for the folio. But to his dismay, and to my surprise, those art magazines don't pay for the artwork they print in their pages. No, no, they charge the artist a fee to publish his/her artwork in their magazines. And it's expensive! Too expensive for Mr. Lenar.

So, no deal. Gee, when I think of all the art magazines I looked at over the years, I thought the publisher paid the artist for the printing rights. I was wrong, it's the other way around! - What a bummer!
